On Sunday I decided it was time to take out my protective updo and wash my hair. Here's a recap of my wash day.
|My wash day arsenal (minus my spray bottle with my ACV rinse)|
Pre-Poo: I parted my hair into four sections and applied Grapeseed Oil to each section with my hands. I use this time to get rid of any shed hairs from the past two weeks and massaged my scalp for about 5 minutes. I left the pre-poo on for about 15-20 minutes.
Co-Washed with Shea Moisture's Cleansing Cowash Conditioner in the same our sections.
Deep Conditioned with Shea Moisture's Jamaican Black Castor Oil Stregthen, Grow and Restore Treatment Masque. Using my Hot Head Deep Conditioning Heat cap, I let the deep conditioner sit on my hair for 15 minutes.
Detangled with my new Eternally In Amber wide tooth comb with the JBCO hair masque still in my hair. I won this comb set from the Mane Objective's giveaway .
ACV Rinse: After two weeks in an updo, I definitely had a little bit of dandruff and product buildup. ACV rinses help curb my dandruff and removes any product that I didn't wash out. I like to spray the entire mixture into my scalp and massage it in. I know some people like to rinse this out but I like leaving it my hair.

Dried my hair in twists overnight. I applied Jia's Caribbean Dream Cream by Tangles and Beyond Shea Moisture's JBCO Leave-In Conditioner and put my hair in twists to dry.
Styled my hair : The next morning (Monday), I tried my hand at old tutorial from BlakIzBeautyful .
I think I did a great job for my first time and I received a lot of compliments at work yesterday :).
